This is the very substance of Summer's blogfest!
As it says in my profile:
A painting, wind whispering through trees,
droplet of rain, snowflake on eyelashes:
all can stir my imagination!
But, portraits remain the greatest inspiration to my writing of romance novels.
The following pic an example, and end result a novel that is to be published Stateside and due for release July 2012 - The Billionaire's Dilemma: Twin Mistresses.
How could two polo players be inspiration?
The polo player on the right inspired the novel, plus overall glamour associated with the sport of princes'.
And of course, women bounty hunters whom seek trophy husbands make for a thrilling read!
The following pic inspired: Her Favoured Captain - a historical novella - available on Kindle.

Now your prompt!
The Shell house as used in Harry Potter movie: incidentally built on a beach in Pembrokeshire, Wales, not in Cornwall where the story is supposedly set.

Nice pics.
Great pictures! I love how gorgeous Shell cottage is.
Wonderful pictures. Thank you so very much for participating!
I often use art as inspiration, too. It's wonderful how it takes each of our minds somewhere different.
Great pictures!
There's something sinister about the way that ship is so dark--I wonder what might happen onboard.
All the pics are cool!! And I do absolutely love that house. Cool prompt! (HP nonwithstanding, I totally see an old-fashioned witch in there somewhere...)
Interesting prompts, Francine. I'd look at that little house and its surroundings all day.
Love your inspiring profile blurb! And Ooh, I love that house on the beach! I want to go hang out there so bad! Please let me go, please! Thanks for your great prompt!
I definitely agree that pictures can be a huge inspiration! all these pics inspire me too, but mostly the ship one.

This is a real place??! Oh my, what it must be like to walk in the door!
Wow! That shell house is awesome. Thanks for sharing!
I love Harry Potter. I love this picture. I can't wait to get started on this one. Thanks!
I can see how inspiring those things can be. Great post/entry :O)
Hi Susan,
It was real! Charming construction: all shells on the exterior. Sadly it was built for the HP movie, and could have been a huge tourist attraction for Pembrokeshire. Unfortunately it was demolished because J.K.Rowling holds copyright on all HP products, and although it could have been of financial benefit the community where it was built no monies would have entered into J.K's coffers.
