I've clinched a publishing contract! - How shall I celebrate?

Right then folks: how to celebrate having signed a publishing contract for "The Billionaire's Dilemma: Twin Mistresses"?

Does anyone remember reading a snippet (blogfest) in which "Lost" a lion cub featured? Well, this is the novel and it's scheduled for release July 2012. Naturally, by the time the hero meets "Lost" she's nine-months old and all muscle, but, being as he's an ex-cavaleiro (Portuguese bullfighter) Allessandre is not afraid to face Lost with little more than golf club to hand. Exciting stuff.

Actually, I have sort of celebrated this publishing deal by self-pubbing a historical novella to Kindle. See my writer profile blog for details and tell me what you think re self-made book trailer.

Hi Angelina & Ju,

Thanks for your support!

I've always had this thing about images, not surprising really because paintings/portraits mostly inspire my books in the first place, so I tend to scrutinise publisher covers closely. Which means does the cover reflect content, or is it merely eye-catching in a male eye-candy way with clingy silk-clad heroine. I prefer chic covers and title depicting content, unless the book is in the erotic genre!

I'd heard WCP are great to work with and they came by way of good recommendation. Since signing the contract I've heard tales that such is not so, but we'll see what happens. So far it's been a case of professional politeness, and detailed submission replies running at 100 days. Now things have moved up a tempo, with ISBN, release date etc., so I at least know where I am at. I have no idea as yet what the cover for the contemporary romance will be like, but I was asked for input! Oh, and just to be clear on this, I'm not contributing a penny toward the publication. It's contracted on publisher costs all round: not mine. ;)

Re celebratory self-pubbed novella, the cover is my own creation depicting fashion of early 1800s, which sets the time period. I could have had a raunchy image, but I preferred a subtle cover and risque content to shock!!!

The blurb, I hope, will entice readers to buy it, though I have omitted mention of a "Rape" scene.
The book trailer sort of implies as much, and so far I'm getting good feedback.
