Bernard Pivot Blogfest

This Blogfest is kindly hosted by the lovely Nicole Ducleroir, and I'm posting it up early because I have serious "editor" revisions to be getting on with tomorrow!

I promise I will get around to everyone entered in this blogfest,
but bear with me if it's a couple of days down the line.

1) What is your favorite word?  = Velvet (encompasses so many sensual aspects in various forms)

2) What is your least favorite word?  =  F*ck!

3) What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? = Artwork (creatively) Woodland/Birdsong (spiritually) Music (emotionally)

4) What turns you off?  City environment

5) What is your favorite curse word? = shit!

6) What sound or noise do you love? = Waterfall

7) What sound or noise do you hate?  = Traffic

8) What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? =  Artist

9) What profession would you not like to do?  = Nurse (puke & crap bowls would only render up more puke!)

10) If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? = my name (correct) or I'd suspect I'd either caught the wrong Heaven Express  or should have been given a ticket for the "Hellraiser Club Metro Line".

These are everywhere at the moment: couldn't resist!

Wonderful! I love waterfalls too.

Great answers (I'm so looking forward to doing this).

And I'm with you on the nurse thing, but more because of giving shots...I'm a complete needle-phobe, even watching others get shots gives me the willies.

Love your list. You're a day early so mine isn't up yet.

Nice... nursing (and the bodily substances one encounters while nursing) would be beyond my abilities, too! :) What a fun list.

Great answers. I say the s**t word too!

LOL. Love your answer to 10! Why is everyone so afraid to spell curse words in full? They're just letters. Hmm ... should I go back and censor my post now? LOL

I wouldn't want to be a nurse either. Needles scare the merde out of me!

There's a reason I'm not a nurse...they are underpaid for all the crap (ahem, and that's literal) they have to deal with.

I said I wouldn't want to be a nurse, too! Thank goodness for people who do want to nurses, 'cause if the profession were full of people like me, it'd be a sorry travesty!

Thanks for playing along, and best of luck with edits!

great answers! Velvet is such a nice word!

Velvet is one of my favorite fabrics. Water is a recurring theme today.

On a down side, I never forgave Richard Armitage for killing Maid Marion.

Art and music are inspiring; I love to suggest I could ever represent any object as it would deserve, through my artistic skills.

I like the sound of waterfalls too, but if you focus on the sound of steady heavy traffic it can sound like a waterfall--sometimes if you use your imagination.

*Denise runs in, puffing, puffing, fighting off hackers with her fairy sword* and finally gets to Francine's blog. Sorry I'm late old bean, but I've been tres busy as you know. All is well now, filthy hackers. I hope they catch him/her/them.

Anyway, you are my lovely friend as you managed to keep to short answers and not written a novella like some dedicated writerly folk. Good answers - waterfall (drool). You'd hate living where I do, right in the centre of highrise-ville, but I do love it even though I'm a country girl. I still have my beach house to escape to when I need to.

Hope all goes well in your world. I need to read some of your past posts to catch up.

My Pivot is pivoting at my Paris blog if you want to read my entry and you'll be sorry if you don't ha ha:
