Chapters from Latest Novel up for perusal!

Well, I've done it: I've set up a profile blog and posted 2 chapters from my lastest novel.

It's a historical as you can see from the image.

To read chaps go here:

The overall story is one of unrequited love, scandalous seduction, tragic deaths and much heart-searching for both hero and heroine. Although Civil War wrenches them apart, it brings them together again yet the hero all the while unaware of the heroine's presence, but truth will always be outed and love that never died can win true heart again with patience and affection.

Francine, thank you for stopping by (I'm following you now). I read what you've written and like what I've read. I really like English historical novels so you pulled me right in. Great characters (like that the heroine is 15, so typical for that era)...looking forward to reading more!!

i had a moment to read just the first section and already i'm intrigued.

as for how indie has been for me...i've never done anything but indie, so i have nothing to compare it to, but based on what i'm hearing lately, and knowing myself, this is the best route for me. it's a lot of work because you either have to pay for someone to do the things your pub. house would do, or you do them yourself, or find very generous friends in the writing and art world to help do covers and editing and proofing and formatting, etc. but as far as the marketing aspect, new authors have to market their own work anyway, so that's no different. the only drawback is that while the pub. house might provide copies of your novel for book signings, giveaways, etc., the indie author has to pay for those herself and absorb the cost if they don't sell. hope that helps.

Thanks for dropping by, and for kind comment.

Michelle G: thanks for the info because I'm also thinking of doing a blogpost re Indie authors = promotional author gig in the New Year listing Indie Authors within our present network!

Hey Francine, you're a star! At the mo I'm in a big hurry, well, I'm usually in a big hurry, but I've followed your second blog. I mainly dropped by to tell you you have an award to pick up from my blog. Put it on both of yours if you like!
